S is the open access, peer-reviewed journal of the Jan van Eyck Circle for Lacanian Ideology Critique (CLiC).
S publishes peer-reviewed essays on Lacanian and related topics from the fields of art, film and literary criticism, political, philosophical and ideological critique. With permission, S also re-publishes hard to obtain essays and translations from seminal thinkers in Lacanian studies whose work deserves the worldwide dissemination free online publishing affords.

Editorial
Peer Review Process
All essays in S are peer reviewed. Upon receipt of a submission, the editors will make the initial decision whether to send it out for review. Articles are then reviewed double-blind by two members of S's editorial board or by external readers as circumstances dictate.
A covering letter should include the title of the paper, abstract, keywords and all useful contact information—address, phone numbers, email address, etc. Please remove any identifying references to the author(s) prior to submission. Submissions should be send preferably through the online submission process although we will accept submissions by email to editors@lineofbeauty.org
We request reviewers to send their reports within 3 months of the submission.
Publication Frequency
S appears once a year.
Open Access Policy
S provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Such access is associated with increased readership and increased citation of an author's work. For more information on this approach, see the Public Knowledge Project, or The Open Archives Initiative. Please feel free to contact the editors for further information.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
